Job Details

Your main duties will include but not be restricted to:
  • Review ongoing project to ensure budgets are loaded in BI data warehouse.
  • Evaluates progress to date for all ongoing projects.
  • Highlight projects with potential change orders.
  • Monitor the overall progress to change orders in total to ensure an effective process, note gaps/best practices for potential escalation.
  • Support revenue recognition process.
  • Provides PM with financial data for project reviews.
  • Attends and participates in project reviews.
  • Manage the weekly missing timesheet monitoring process.
  • Provides ad hoc project performance-to-plan reporting.
  • Project profitability reporting/analysis (by client, by study type, by site, etc.).
  • Participates in process improvements around performance monitoring, metrics, etc.
  • Reviews and analyzes cost-to-complete data: provides feedback to PM to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Provide updates to risk registers as appropriate.
  • Understands the root cause of each project's billed or unbilled position.
  • Understands the revenue implications for the billed or unbilled position.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of each projects' contract in collaboration with the PM, including assumptions, payment schedules, penalty or bonus language, etc.
  • Ensures project financial expectations are met in collaboration with PM during the close-out process.
  • Responsible for financial training of operational team as required.


Education
  • Associate Degree in Business, Mathematics, or Science related field.


Experience
  • 2 years' previous experience in CRO/pharma/biotechnology industry.
  • Understanding of clinical development and project management.
  • Solid communication skills including ability to summarize information into succinct executive summary formats.
  • Effective computer skills, particularly the ability to handle large data files.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
  • 2 years' previous experience in budget management of resource planning / pricing preferred.
