Job Responsibilities
  • Influences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches and actively shape thinking on how technology solutions can enable and progress the goals of the organization
  • Identifies new industry and emerging technology solutions to address SPVG strategic business requirements
  • Translate business needs and strategies into high-value technology solutions and develop and manage service levels
  • Assist in business case development, requirements definition, solution design; and oversight of delivery, performance (cost and quality) and ongoing maintenance
  • Overall coordination, status reporting and stability of an assigned portfolio of project works
  • Tracks key project milestones and dependencies across projects and works with project teams and stakeholders to adjust project plans, scope and/or resources to meet business objectives
  • Coordinates communication with all areas of the business that impacts scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed
  • Directs cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams in a highly matrixed organization
  • Collaborates with the PM's to assemble project plans, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews, and escalating issues appropriately
  • Ensures appropriate budgeting and management of procurement activities
  • Provides exceptional customer satisfaction across business functions
  • Ensures adherence standards and procedures for computing to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (i.e. 21 CFR Part 11), existing Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and generally accepted industry practices.
  • Coordinates resources, project schedules and communications for IT related activities with customers, internal groups and external vendors and service providers.
What we're looking for
  • Progressive experience in IT with large project implementation (with a business focus)
  • Eight (8) years of IT / PV related experience
  • Bio-Pharma/CRO experience required, Safety and Pharmacovigilance experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leader, able to ramp up on a new program and add value quickly
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task in high pressure environment and when appropriate, act with a sense of urgency
  • Team player
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with different countries and levels of management and staff in IT and business functions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience managing and influencing vendors (including offshore) and consultants
  • Prior consulting experience a plus
  • Prior experience working with validated systems a plus
  • Prior experience working with data-intensive, analytical applications a plus
  • Demonstrated success in areas of leadership, customer relationship, delivery of solutions within aggressive timelines while meeting budget/scope requirements, team building, and accountability
  • Functional experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and/or CRO domain and clinical applications.
