VP of Biometrics North America

For our Biostatistics Department we are currently looking for a Vice President to lead the development of the biostatistics and data management Business in North America, in collaboration with the local and global Sales and Biometrics teams.

Principal accountabilities

• Drive the development of the biostatistics and data management teams in North America, in collaboration with the global Biometrics teams:
  • Contribute to workload forecasts and planning of resource needs 
  • Drive the hiring of new Biometrics staff 
  • Oversee, and contribute to, the training and development of Biometrics staff 
  • Contribute to the definition of objectives for the Biometrics staff 

• Manage and develop relationships with Biometrics customers in North America:
  • Contribute to the business development strategy 
  • Support the Sales team in the development of new customer relationship 
  • Lead, support, or contribute to, the development of Biometrics services proposals, and bid defense meetings 
  • Support the creation and delivery of impactful Marketing content 

• Oversee the delivery of Biometrics services and ensure overall satisfaction of customers in North America:
  • Contribute to the management and development of the Biometrics teams 
  • Drive governance activities with key customers
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all local and global stakeholders (Commercial, Proposal Management, Operations)

Job requirements

Professional Background and Experience 

• Preferably 10+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years of experience within a CRO as manager or director. 
• Strong operational background in at least one core service area (biostatistics, data management or statistical programming), with cross-functional knowledge and commercial awareness. 
• Previous experience as a buyer of Clinical Research Services would be considered a plus.

Technical Competencies 

• Track record of working on studies throughout the clinical development process 
• Strong knowledge of data management, statistics, statistical programming and medical writing processes. 
• Experience with full-service provision preferred
• Good knowledge of proposal development process 
• Strong commercial awareness
