Who will you be working for:

We are currently working with a fantastic client who are looking for a Clinical Project Manager / Senior Project Manager with early phase experience in a CRO in East London.

The company have a positive and strong leadership team who are accelerating growth with a lot of financial investment being driven into business creating a great vision for the future, which will enable people to work to their strengths. The offices are very modern, and they have a fully kitted out clinical site close by. This is a hybrid role with some days in the office.

General description

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall conduct of the company’s projects and is accountable for the delivery of the project to timelines, within budget and to agreed quality standards. The Project Manager works closely with their allocated cross functional project team.  The Project Manager may be assigned as the Project Lead on a given study or work closely in support of a Project Leader who is the Project Lead.

Project Management

  • Act as Project Lead on assigned projects/clinical studies, to include vendor management, budget responsibility and management of cross functional timelines.
  • Manage and deliver projects to scope (budget, timelines, and quality standards) as agreed in the Clinical Trial Agreement and standards.
  • Manage the Cross Functional Project Team to the agreed scope, retaining oversight of the overall management of the project including all delegated activities.
  • Coordinate the project team to identify and mitigate risks and take a proactive approach to regular risk assessment and issue resolution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with the client once the project has been awarded.
  • Determine client expectations regarding communication and project updates and maintain contact with the client as agreed.
  • Comply with regulatory, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ICH Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) and project requirements (e.g., Customer SOPs)
  • Actively contribute to the on-going development and process improvement of the department and across the company to include general and functional expertise to support SOP development and Implementation.
  • Participate in multiple departmental or interdepartmental strategic initiatives under limited supervision. Must be able to understand, interpret, and explain protocol requirements to others.

Essential

  • Biological Science Degree or equivalent
  • Business Project Management or clinical development experience within pharmaceutical and CRO/service organisations.
  • Experience of leading multiple teams and programmes
