THE ROLE

As a clinical SAS programmer, you will focus on producing SDTM datasets and standards whilst also producing more complex datasets and outputs. You will utilise your extensive awareness of CDISC SDTM and ADaM implementation guidelines, review and update non-efficacy/more complex data specifications, create and debug more complex macros, and understand statistical analysis plans and output shells for day-to-day programming activities.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Act as lead programmer for SDTM creation
•    Create and develop SDTM programs and datasets
•    Program complex safety/efficacy datasets
•    Develop and debug more complex macros
•    Create, QC and update complex dataset specifications (including efficacy) for single or multiple studies
•    Review simple study design SAP with supervision
•    Review listings and simple summary shells without supervision and provide feedback
•    Utilise your awareness of CDISC SDTM and ADaM implementation guidelines
•    Create CRT packages as part of the team, understand FDA requirement, and write xDRGs
•    Become familiar with and follow study documentation
•    Assist in developing internal training courses
•    Mentor/train other members of staff in SDTM standards and processes

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

•    BSc, MSc or PhD in computer science, mathematics or a science related discipline
•    Excellent and extensive knowledge of CDISC SDTM and ADaM standards and application
•    Substantial SAS programming experience within the pharmaceutical industry
•    Proficiency in macro development and safety and efficacy datasets
•    Familiarity with GCP and regulatory requirements
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
