Description
At our site in Breda, medicines are labelled, assembled, stored, and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people from 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of our medicines, and clinical research into new medicines.

What you will do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for financial planning processes such as the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and long-range planning for the manufacturing site. In addition to planning processes, responsibilities will include supporting the quarter-end close processes, variance analysis, generating business insights/improvement opportunities and updating standard costs. This role is based in Breda, the Netherlands.

In general, you will:

  • Lead financial expense planning processes such as Forecasts and annual Planning activities including headcount, operating expenses, and capital expenses
  • Participate in the monthly closing activities for various departments (site operations, clinical operations, and support functions)
  • Generate insightful variance explanation, dashboards and analyses for business partners and management
  • Analyse data and present results to senior management in a professional, clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making
  • Monitor compliance & controls are in place via different processes (IICC, FRoP, SOX, Audits…)
  • Ensure cost accounting is properly performed and all needed Journal Entries are done in a timely manner
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using existing digital technologies and streamlining on-going activities through automation
  • Develop strong partnerships with internal business partners / other Finance staff members / cross-functional teams to drive process consistencies and efficiency's
  • Assist with coaching and mentoring of team member

What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:

  • University Degree in accounting, finance, business economics or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance / accounting / financial planning experience for multi-national.
  • Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.
  • Strong quantitative and business analytical skills including familiarity with finance and accounting terms
  • Ability to educate, communicate and provide financial insights to non-finance individuals

Preferred Qualifications:
* Cost accounting experience using SAP
* Understanding of existing digital technologies and data analytics approaches
* Knowledge of key reporting systems (such as SAP, MS Office, Tableau and Hyperion)
* Experience in preparing executive communication (including written and oral presentations)
* Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and diverse/matrix team environment
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines
* Comfortable with ambiguity; flexible, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset
* MBA and/or CPA
