Syneos Health is embarking on a major transformation initiative, implementing Oracle Cloud Applications (HCM & ERP) across the organization. This is an exciting new opportunity for the right candidate to Project Manage the Project Services Pillar within this program.

Description:
  • Overall accountability for the day-to-day execution & project management of the Project Services Pillar within the cloud transformation initiative.
  • Will work closely with the Business Pillar Lead, Global Process Owners and supporting workstreams leads across HR, Finance IT, OCM, Data & Reporting and GRC to enable effective delivery of all activities within the Project Services pillar.
  • Responsible for accurate & comprehensive status reporting to the program leadership team and executive steering committee.
  • Responsible for maintaining & monitoring resources levels across the pillar, balancing demand and addressing issues with relevant workstream leads & stakeholders, escalating as appropriate.
  • Driving accountability to planned dates, creating and maintaining schedules in collaboration with System Integrators, 3 rd party vendors & relevant stakeholders.
  • Accountable for tracking risks & issues, identifying appropriate mitigation strategies, and providing timely escalation.
  • Provide a point of escalation & coordination within the Project Services Pillar for connected verticals & horizontals within the program structure.
  • Assess and appropriately route key decisions, scope amendments & change orders up through to the Program structure for consideration.
  • Ensure all project deliverables align with the overarching business case & strategic objectives of the Program.


Qualifications

What we’re looking for
  • 8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development systems and technical environments.
  • Experience working with or implementing Resource Management or PPM Systems ideally within the CRO or Clinical trials sector. Comfortable with the fundamental concepts & challenges of resource management, i.e. types of resourcing models e.g. FSP, resource demand, forecasting & utilization.
  • Previous experience with implementing cloud-based solutions or familiar with the concepts of cloud-based architecture and its implementation. Knowledge of PaaS or cloud extensions.
  • Prior experience with managing projects with $1m+ budgets & providing monthly finance analysis/reporting
  • Ability to lead and drive projects to completion - previously completed large projects from beginning to end. Proven experience establishing and delivering complex projects
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
  • Proven ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, command respect and create a sense of community amongst the members of the project team
  • Mobilizes and motivate teams, sets directional approach, resolves conflict, delivers tough messages with grace
  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
  • Ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programs. Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools
  • Sound business and technical acumen
  • Good understanding of the procurement process, including raising purchase orders, receipting invoices, SOW management
  • Experience with budgeting and resource allocation procedures, comfortable with the concepts of Capital Asset requests, OPEX & Deferred Cost
  • Experience with understanding various software development methodologies including Agile/Scrum
  • Good working knowledge of SDLC
  • Able to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems

Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree preferred and or comparable work experience
  • PMP or PMI-ACP certification
  • Knowledge of JIRA or Confluence
  • Experience with Agile Methodology
