Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, Asthma and HIV, the Brand Manager will develop and execute the brand plan to accelerate the performance of a key GSK respiratory brand. The Brand Manager will deliver strategies and tactics that differentiates the brand as best of class and highlight positive patient outcomes.
As a key member of the close-knit Respiratory Marketing team, you will lead and inspire the field-based representatives in primary and secondary care, creating buy-in to strategy and supporting with high quality training and marketing interventions that drive uptake in the brand.
Your responsibilities will be broad and will include:
- Achieve budgeted sales for your brand and effectively manage A&P spend within allocated budget and achieve monthly demand planning KPIs, in consideration of market dynamics and insights.
- Aligning with your brand global business plans, develop a New Zealand strategic annual brand plan in collaboration with the cross functional team and communicate this effectively to all stakeholders
- Influence and lead a cross functional brand team to assist in the development and execution of local operational tactics
- Lead the execution of a multi-channel brand strategy, including a content strategy, traditional print and digital promotion, advertising, meetings, public relations, sales force engagement, CRM strategy using a range of platforms to maximise the customer experience and approximately integrate different elements of the promotional mix.
- Lead the engagement of the sales leaders and sales teams in key initiatives delivering effective sales team communication to support strong alignment with and buy-in to brand strategy to optimize sales.
- Ensure effective communication of marketing programs to key stakeholders both internal and external, including the field force, external experts, and above country brand teams.
- Monitor changes in market dynamics and the competitive environment, particularly for new products, medications to ensure ongoing success of your brand.
You will have:
- Significant pharma experience with at least 2+ years pharmaceutical brand marketing experience, including experience utilizing multichannel promotion, digital promotion & consumer disease awareness campaigns.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, competitors, customers trends, government, current affairs and product launch process.
- In depth knowledge of the primary and secondary healthcare environment in New Zealand.
- A track record of successful customer focus and negotiation skills gained in a customer facing sales (or similar role) would be preferred.
- History of successful cross functional project leadership and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
- Track record of demonstrated impact due to your innovation and activation over a range of projects.
- Understanding of the medical and regulatory process, and the New Zealand medicines code
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of the respiratory market in NZ would be an advantage
- A tertiary qualification, preferably in Business or Science.
