Financial Reporting Manager

Our client is a world leading research-based pharmaceutical company renowned for pushing the boundaries of medical innovation are seeking a Financial Reporting Manager.

Leadership of the financial reporting for UK legal entities, team, driving a best in class, effective, efficient, timely, accurate financial support service providing Value add Business Partnering to the organisation.

Value Custodian, ensuring financially compliant reporting of the organisation's financial statements both internally and externally for statutory, legal, and fiscal purposes.

Financial Reporting & Control
* Providing accurate financial accounting information on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for all UK legal entities.
* Preparation and submission of EEL Statutory Group Consolidation
* Preparation of annual statutory accounts for UK based legal entities
* Accurately record and analyse inventory holding, reviewing the need to make provisions
* IFRS guidance for UK legal entities.
* Managing the submission of monthly reports toHQ and acting as the senior point of contact with HQ for UK based legal entities.
* Responsible for creating and providing Cash Flow Statement and Cash Forecast to Treasury department.
* Maintenance of financial regulations, procedures and reporting manuals, Supporting the implementation and creation of SOPs
* Support audit as required (internal and external)
* Evaluating accounting standards and best practice and assessing impact
* Monitor and understand PPRS changes and preparation of Annex 8
* Prepare Quarterly PPRS return
* Support the Financial, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function as required
* Evaluating accounting standards and best practice and assessing impact
* Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliation and control process for UK legal entities.

Direct and Indirect Taxation
* Completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax computations for UK based legal entities.
* Supervision of completion of monthly tax computations and yearly tax return for UK legal entities
* Review PSA prepared by Accountant for UK legal entities.
* Review VAT group return prepared by Assistant Accountant VAT
* Ensure timely submission of HMRC tax filings.
* Ensuring up to date process for financial and VAT/corporation tax reporting across EMEA
* Support on R&D tax calculations.
* Ensure timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns for UK legal entities
* Ensure timely and accurate calculation and payment of tax on account.
* Execution of EMEA tax control framework

Approvals & Review

* Drive standardisation of internal controls, ensuring that adequate controls of financial transactions and reporting, reporting on risk and control
* Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

Systems & Efficiency

* Process development and documentation, facilitate best use of IT systems etc.
* Support SAP usage, testing and training as required


* A qualified Chartered Financial Accountant.
* Formal Financial Accounting training and qualification, knowledge of statutory accounting, legal and taxation requirements
* Exposure to International reporting standards an advantage
