Hobson Prior are currently looking for an Engineering Officer to join a fantastic biotech corporation on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on creating a solution that has the possibility of curing those suffering from serious illnesses.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with internal investigations and root cause analysis into engineering related facility deviations.
  • Responsible for ensuring Quality Management documents (Change Requests, CAPA's, Deviations) are completed within the given timelines.
  • You will maintain the PPM/Calibration CMMS system.
  • You will maintain a good filing system within the engineering department.
  • You will maintain any Microsoft excel spreadsheets the engineering department may require.
  • Producing Microsoft word documents as required.
  • General office duties such as printing, photocopying and laminating etc.
  • GMP compliance within the Engineering Department.
  • Responsible for ensuring own work complies with GMP, Data Integrity and Good Documentation Practice. (GDP)and is undertaken in accordance with applicable procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring own training is undertaken in a timely and GMP Compliant manner before the task is undertaken.
  • Responsible for ensuring that any GMP Documentation assigned to me e.g (but not limited to) issues, CAPA's, Change Controls, BMR's and Audit/Inspection actions are closed in a timely and a RFT State.

  • The ideal candidate will have a higher education level (HND/HNC) in relevant subject or experience working in a similar position within a Gene Therapy/Pharmaceutical background.
  • Microsoft word, excel etc.
  • We deal with international manufacturers on a frequent basis and any additional languages would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Experience within a GMP compliant manufacturing environment, with knowledge of QA activities and Quality Management software.
  • Experience working within an engineering/maintenance department.
  • Any Office based qualifications.
