Job Description

Parexel is looking for a Biomarker Sample Operation Associate to operationally deliver on client projects by working closely with client teams to ensure timely and smooth collection and transfer of clinical trial biospecimens in compliance with protocols, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. This role will contribute to innovation and continuous improvement with client activities in biosample collection, processing, and transfers. The person hired will demonstrate the ability to carry out all biospecimens operations with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a background in life science, experience with clinical trials, expertise in Excel, and LIMS experience.

Qualifications

Your Skills:
  • Client-focused approach to work
  • Expertise in MS Office applications including Word and PowerPoint
  • Clinical trials experience
  • Data management experience
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English
  • Organization, attention to detail and effective time management skills with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of LIMS (laboratory information management system)
  • Critical thinking
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-based environment and work independently when needed
Your Profile:
  • Scientific background and knowledge of life sciences
  • 4 years of project management, life science and/or clinical trial experience
  • Sample handling experience. This might be from working in the pharmaceutical industry, a biorepository or a diagnostics lab, for example
  • LIMS experience
  • Clinical trials experience
  • Contributes to a positive and motivating work environment that encourages mutual respect, innovation, and accountability at all levels
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in scientific field or related discipline
