Job Details

The Nurses Station Coordinator serves as a critical contact on the Nurses' Station within the Clinic in order to provide administrative responsibilities often of a complex nature.

Your main duties will include but not be restricted to:
  • Performs administrative support and related duties which are broad, varied, and often of a complex/confidential manner such as handling telephone calls, supporting the clinical teams with administrative duties, directing queries to the appropriate member of the team.
  • Takes responsibility for specific study functions as assigned, e.g. urine collections.
  • Takes responsibility for monitoring REES safety monitoring/alarm system and ensuring relevant staff member is notified immediately.
  • Coordinates any changes to Clinic functions through unexpected absence of staff or lateness, particularly during the morning, to ensure all functions are staffed.
  • Liaise with the Training Team to ensure the training matrix is updated regularly, to ensure accurate staffing.
  • Assist clinical teams to ensure that the source documents are archived accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Serves as a backup for any calls redirected to the Nurse Station from the main reception area.
  • Monitors and reports any staff late for shift start times to relevant Clinical Managers.
  • Maintains adequate stock of clinical consumables at nurses station.


Education/Qualifications:
  • Educated to GCSE or equivalent.
  • Requires unquestionable customer service skills, meticulousness, and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and programs (e.g., word processing, excel).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with many interruptions.


Experience:
  • Typically 1 - 2 years in an administrative support role.
  • Previous customer experience preferable.
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education requirements.
