This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in chemistry. Someone who is detail oriented and has extensive knowledge of scientific principles involved in analytical test methods.

 

The role:

  • Manage & execute analytical method development and validations
  • Develop cost-effective analytical methods and method development reports
  • Works with external test labs to execute method development, stability evaluations, validations, etc; work alongside Project Managers, Business Managers, & other leadership to coordinate activities
  • Properly document procedures in lab notebook
  • Mentor & develop others in method development
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Consults/leads on new equipment acquisition/qualification
  • Serve as back-up for QC lab supervisor
  • Participates on cross-functional product development teams

 

Requirements:

  • BS (or higher) in Chemistry plus 10 years related experience
  • Expert in application of gas chromatography, UV-VIS-FTIR spectroscopy, TOC, thermal & mechanical analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Method development experience with drugs & drug products
  • Ability to manage multiple challenges, with the ability to delegate, problem solve, and set clear expectations
  • Above average dexterity & ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent time-management and troubleshooting skills
  • Enthusiastic, team player, self-motivated attitude, analytical thinker
