The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for you to join our Asia Pacific HR Operations team. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager you will be an important contact for our employees and managers based in Japan and Australia and the wider APAC region.

This is a varied role where you will assist both Japan & Australian and overseas customers with phone, email, and chat enquiries for HR related matters. You will also work with the centres of expertise (CoE) and HR Business Partner for complex issues.

The Role
  • First point of contact for a broad range of HR requests and enquiries including benefits, compensation, labour relations, compliance, organisation effectiveness, reward and recognition, and workforce staffing.
  • Manage and execute day to day HRIS transactional processing in Workday (HRIS) and other related HR systems.
  • Conduct research and problem solve complex requests as required
  • Work with leaders to ensure the correct recording and compliance of all staff and employment related information
  • Adhere to HR Operations key performance indicators and contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of HR operations


About you

You may be a recent HR graduate or have HR generalist experience in a shared services environment. You're organised, proactive and thrive in a complex fast paced environment where you will need to prioritise a high volume of tasks with great attention to detail. You are passionate about working as part of a collaborative team and providing high quality customer service. You are motivated and excited by opportunities to continuously develop your knowledge and have an ability to anticipate the next steps in a customer interaction.

Your skills and experience
  • Degree in Business/ HR or related field
  • Two years customer service experience (HR related experience preferable)
  • Fluent in Japanese and ability to read/write Japanese
  • Quick learner with the ability to pick up new systems and procedures easily
  • Knowledge of case management systems, service centre telephony, and HR portal technology would be well regarded
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment with a focus on high quality customer service
  • An ability to analyse information and interpret information in a logical manner
  • Motivated by achieving results, taking ownership for tasks and contributing to the success of the HR Operations team
