THE POSITION

The global Human Pharma Communications team is growing!

Within our Newsroom, where all editorial capabilities are integrated in a multi-channel setup, our Content & Editorial team drives the editorial planning and production for our Group, Business Units and Innovation Unit content agendas.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you support the Newsroom in all content & editorial tasks. Particularly, you are responsible for implementing the strategic editorial plan, across all internal and external corporate communication channels such as website, MyBI, social media channels, Group print publications and other future channels.
  • You act as storyteller, copy writer and content producer, researching and producing engaging and high-quality content, tailored to different internal and external media channels and adapted to the needs of the respective audiences. This can be a mix of background news and insights, social media posts, graphics, pictures, or videos. You are responsible for shaping this content in a way that it fits the Global Communications Agenda, for meeting all guidelines and quality standards.
  • To ensure continuous development of our channels and content according to the audiences’ needs, you foster regular exchange and collaboration with the Channels & Engagement as well as Audiovisual Production team within the Newsroom.
  • Moreover, you contribute to shaping the strategically defined Global Comms Agenda by identifying new external and internal content opportunities and by developing and implementing various communication concepts.
  • With your senior expertise, you frequently collaborate with the R/OPU editorial teams to find and co-create stories around the world to drive a truly global agenda with a global impact on the BI reputation and brand.
  • You are dedicated to Human Pharma topics and will collaborate closely with the Human Pharma Communications team to make sure the team can give input to the global editorial calendar and to find and co-create stories with impact on the BI reputation and brand.


Requirements

  • Master’s degree in media studies, journalism, or similar with long-term experience producing engaging web, print, and social media content
  • Excellent copywriting and editorial skills; social media savvy; graphic design and Photoshop skills are an asset
  • Profound knowledge of all journalistic formats
  • Excellent knowledge of all channels and audiences
  • Experience in project management
  • Communicator with a fine nose for news and the ability to spot external trends
  • Ability to translate business strategies, scientific papers and brand narratives into editorial communication that inspires and influences various target audiences
  • Excellent command of English, German is an asset
