We are looking for a (Lead) Business Consultant who will be primarily accountable as a business analyst for system solutions, as solution architect and as a project manager. In this role you will be part of a diverse team of expert colleagues located in Germany, Spain, and the United States of America, supporting several business areas. Together with your colleagues in IT, you will be acting as IT Business Partner for your colleagues in Human Pharma as well as in Animal Health to allow them to grow their business.

Tasks & Responsibilities


  • As Lead Business Consultant, you have a high-level understanding of the business needs of at least two of the following business areas: Quality, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical, Patents, Biopharma.
  • As solution architect you understand typical application landscapes, interfaces and system architecture for the aforementioned business areas.
  • You translate the business demands into solutions and system architecture, prepare solution assessments, and drive their implementation as project manager.
  • You work completely independently on the topic of business analysis and business partnering on a cross-functional level.
  • You drive innovative topics as an integral part of your work to support the business with new or enhanced IT solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of their processes to create business value.
  • Moreover, you foster inclusion of agile methodologies that enables implementation of business programs with speed and value.
  • You are responsible for conducting projects with medium to high complexity on your own, ensuring cost efficient, high quality and timely delivery.
  • Thereby, you proactively support cross-functional collaboration and communication beyond your direct area of responsibility, ensuring performance, feedback and transparency.



Requirements


  • Master’s degree in IT, Business Administration or equivalent degree in Natural Sciences paired with multiple years of proven working experience in a system lead or a business partnering role within IT
  • Strong understanding of translating business requirements into adequate IT solutions
  • Conceptual understanding of systems architecture building blocks, interfaces and solution design
  • Several years of working experience in projects and demand management with a corresponding track record of stakeholder and vendor management (incl. contract negotiations)
  • Proficient in business partnering and driving/managing decision up to the senior management level
  • Excellent technical understanding, know-how in regulations for computer system validation, and experience in the technical implementation of typical regulatory affairs or quality in medicine applications as a plus
  • Strategic thinking and networking; advocate for innovations
  • Excellent communication skills in English on a professional level (verbal and written)
