The Role:

Our site in Huntingdon is currently looking for a candidate to perform data entry and provide lab support to the bioanalysis department on a 3 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for undertaking management of samples received within the department and assist with movement of samples onto the Watson Laboratory Information Management System.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Update sample tubes labels to included barcode flag labels.
  • Understand sample tracking detailed on the tracking sheet and use the information to translate into the WATSON Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Cross checking is required to reconfirm the entries entered in Watson LIMS (approx 10%).
  • Assist with the sample inventory and locating samples related to individual studies across freezers.
  • Update sample tracking and relevant paperwork to document the processes.
  • Legible and accurate data documentation.
  • Assist with the freezer management and sample management.

Education/Experience:
  • Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks to a high quality.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Preferred - experience working in a regulated environment.
