The Company

My client is a speciality biopharmaceutical company working exclusively with the development and manufacturing of high quality biosimilar medicine. The Founder of the company has previously built two top generics companies and through their leadership my client is growing rapidly. They're currently building a major new manufacturing site and expanding throughout Europe, this role being located anywhere in Europe so long as the candidate can travel to their site in Germany once a month.

The company is fairly young but already established biosimilars company with state of the art R&D and manufacturing facilities in-house. They're expecting further growth and seeking motivated candidates looking to grow alongside them, and as such provide strong internal progression opportunities so loyal employees don't have to wait up to get the promotion they deserve.

The Role

The positions is a key role within the Cell Line Development team in Germany. The Principal Scientist's primary purpose will be overseeing the manufacturing and characterization of mammalian cell banks in accordance with the GMP.

This includes:

• Mentoring and training junior team members
• Authoring relevant regulatory documents
• Response coordination during audits/inspections
• Presenting cell banking activities to Senior Management

Requirements

• University Degree in a relevant scientific discipline
• Several years of experience working with cells in a GMP environment
• Previous experience leading projects
