THE POSITION


Our IT Operations team is looking for a technology focused and team-oriented IT (Junior) Business Consultant to provide cutting-edge IT support for the business area of Engineering.

In this challenging and exciting role, you will be working closely with the engineering and IT Infrastructure teams to accompany and consult the business organization on their digital journey. The role will be part of the Global Engineering Integration Service team, consisting of Engineering and IT specialists working in a global environment.

Tasks & responsibilities


  • In this role, you will mainly foster collaboration of IT and the engineering community to deliver and implement technology solutions supporting the business objectives.
  • In this context, you provide direction in the usage of state-of-the-art IT technologies and methodologies.
  • Furthermore, you review and analyse IT and production processes to leverage quality of delivery security and compliance.
  • Together with engineering colleagues, you identify and understand the needs of our business regarding existing IT services and as well communicate gaps in IT services.
  • With your expertise, you design, build and implement technical platforms and applications for engineering platforms.
  • Within large project teams, you will represent your team.
  • As (Junior) Business Consultant, you support our business partners in order to understand and follow BI rules regarding system owner- and leadership as well as the required documentation.


As Business Consultant you additionally have the following tasks:
  • Within large project teams, you play a key role or even manage them.



Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or comparable
  • Eager to gain experience with production equipment of pharmaceutical manufacturing and very good understanding of IT infrastructure
  • Willing to build up knowledge about Automation Architecture and experience with the standards ISA 88 and ISA 95
  • Knowledge about IT-trends and new technologies (e.g., Python, Hadoop-Stack, Devops, XJira, Xconfluence, Git, Container/Docker Management)
  • Strong communication skills including capability to create and maintain business relations and working with business partners, vendors, developers, legal and compliance functions
  • Knowledge about new technologies and trends in the IT sector and understanding of their potential and how to implement in own area of responsibility
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German required (verbal and written)


Additional requirements as Business Consultant:
  • Master´s degree in Computer Science, IT or comparable
  • Several years of working experience in IT paired with profound expertise in structuring and analyzing data
  • Professional experience with production equipment of pharmaceutical manufacturing and very good understanding of IT infrastructure
  • Knowledge about Automation Architecture and experience with the standards ISA 88 and ISA 95
  • Enhanced knowledge of standard SCADA, DCS and PLC systems and the used communication protocols and interfaces like OPC
  • Experience as a project manager and ability to independently deal with complex project tasks in a global fast-moving and agile project environment
