Validation Engineer

For one of Planet Pharma’s rapidly expanding clients we urgently seek a talented Validation Engineer to join either on contract or permanent basis. In this role you will provide support to the Validation and Sterility Assurance Team and liaise with other team members and staff in the Group to maintain an up-to-date service to all employees
 

Responsibilities

• Maintain the validated state of critical manufacturing processes for medical devices;
• Validate equipment used in the manufacturing, cleaning and packing of medical devices to the required regulatory standards (e.g. robotic polishing, packing machines, multi-axis cutting machines, robotic cleaning equipment).
• Write, execute, and approve validation protocols
• Validate sterility assurance activities: validation of ISO Class 7 cleanrooms, monitoring of pre-sterilisation product bioburden, validation of gamma irradiation and ethylene oxide gas sterilisation of implants. Cleaning and sterilisation validation studies for surgical instrumentation.

Requirements

• Degree in a scientific discipline required; microbiology experience desirable.
• At least 3 years validation experience within Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry required.
• Have excellent communication skills and you will need to liaise with suppliers and internal customers.
• Good computer skills in excel and word and Quality Management Systems
• Experience of managing projects is desirable
