The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Global Reputation & Financial Communications your role will be to help build and protect the reputation of CSL and provide communications partnership to the CSL Behring Commercial Operations Australia Leadership Team.

As part of the role you will increase CSL's brand and reputation while supporting CSL's goals. You will seek out global reputation management best practices and advise the Reputation Centre of Excellence, managing specific projects to help accomplish the strategy. You will be an important contributor to developing global Thought Leadership frameworks, and the Issues/Crisis Communication Management processes. You will bring strong content contribution to the CSL Group's "owned" multimedia publishing channels for audiences both internal and external.

You will also provide support to the Australian Corporate Leadership group to support local market reputation management through media relations and stakeholder engagement activities.

You will also partners the Australian/NZ CSL Behring Commercial Operations team for external and internal communications requirements, building an annual engagement strategy and working with the AU Com Ops leadership team to support CSL's priorities.

The Role
  • Execute multichannel engagement programs that enhance the global enterprise's reputation with the public, media, employees, and other external partners as part of the Reputation Management COE.
  • Lead ongoing reputation measurement processes to provide data-driven insights, including agency management.
  • Provide external communications counsel to the AU Commercial Leadership Team including issues management, public affairs coordination and partner engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the Commercial Operations teams' profile across the wider business, educating team members about the function and driving stronger enterprise-wide collaboration.
  • Develop corporate messaging and ensure communications are aligned with CSL's global brand positioning and reputation management requirements
  • Build media relations in Australia, with influential trade and business journalists to further build and protect the Reputation of the Company.
  • Ensure content contribution in specific area of responsibilities for CSL Group's "owned" multimedia publishing channels for all audiences. Metrics and analytics to be established and tracked.
  • Support and collaborate with Senior Communications Director for Finance, IR and Reputation Management in supporting enterprise needs, measuring and tracking CSLs global Reputation, collaborating with the global Reputation Management Network and using resources across the Enterprise and ensuring policies are current.
  • Develop processes, templates and reference assets to support a global approach to Reputation Management.
  • Support organizational readiness to manage crisis through the development, socialization and maintenance of crisis communication assets, supported by tabletop exercises and coordination with the respective Security and Risk functions.


Your skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in communications
  • Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable
