Assistive Technology Consultant - Melbourne - Mobility Equipment

An exciting new opportunity has become available in Melbourne for an Allied Health professional to join a leading Mobility Aid organisation for a newly created position as Assistive Technology Consultant.

This organisation are known in the industry for providing tailored solutions within the mobility aid field. The senior team has 150 years of combined experience and knowledge within this space.

You will be joining a growing business that significantly improves people's lives with a truly innovative and high-end product range.

As a key member of the team you will report to the Sales Manager and be responsible for developing business with new and existing customers, which include aged care facilities, schools, hospitals, treatment clinics, rehabilitation professionals, physio and occupational therapists. Aside from the sales aspect of the role you will become a product expert in this field.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • You will be the expert in your product portfolio of choice for the Melbourne Metro OR Regional Melbourne area (depending on your location)
  • Develop and seek out new business and opportunities
  • Increase levels of business with existing customers
  • Introduce new products to the market
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales target
  • Carry out individual product assessments for end users with healthcare professionals

Skills and experience:

  • A background in the Allied Health field or Medical Device sales experience
  • Experience in a rehabilitation, physiotherapist, or occupational therapy role is highly desirable
  • Hands on
  • You enjoy meeting clients in a face-to-face role and demonstrating equipment
  • You have a strong ability to develop and maintain flourishing working relationships
  • Experienced in carrying out product demonstrations and assessments
  • Must be able to demonstrate good planning and organisational skills
  • Sales is not a requirement for the right candidate as you will be given excellent on-boarding and training with experts in this field
  • Driving License required
  • Ability to travel within Melbourne
