We are looking for passionate individuals with an interest in healthcare to join our rapidly expanding Global Patient and Site Solutions team. Experience in a client facing, account management or sales type role is essential, and we are particularly interested in those with a healthcare communications or clinical trials background.

This position offers the flexibility to be home-based in the US, Latin America or Europe

PURPOSE

Our team collaborates with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop patient recruitment, retention, and site engagement strategies. The focus of our team is to help our clients find, enroll, and retain patients on clinical trials. Our mission is to make sure that all clinical trials are designed with the patient in mind and our strategies ensure the patient and site staff running the trial feel as supported as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for delivery and achievement of KPIs on projects within portfolio (customer, TA or other alignment)

  • Frequent meetings with GPSS operations teams to direct and optimize delivery. Including assessment of risk, support of associated action plans and ensuring all actions are completed

  • Escalation point within, across or outside of GPSS.

  • Responsible for oversight of development project plans for operational implementation of new products and services.

  • Accountable for documentation and sharing of portfolio level lessons learnt.

  • Accountable for financial health of project.

  • Accountable for presentation back to leadership on portfolio performance and ability to challenge and question GPSS team to ensure success.

  • May also be accountable for customer satisfaction, pipeline reviews, development of customer specific plans, guidance, training etc. May work with GPSS innovation team and CoE to assess new opportunities across program. May act as consult for TA proposals.

  • Serve as internal strategy consultant for new business opportunities

  • Develop strategic patient recruitment/retention and site engagement strategies for new opportunities or rescue situations working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts

  • Build, review and update patient recruitment and retention budgets as needed during the strategy development process to reflect the most current strategy, monitor ongoing financial health

  • Describe the patient recruitment/retention and site engagement strategies in a cohesive and compelling story for internal and external customers, text/PPT and presentation formats

  • Work together with operational team to translate recruitment, retention, and site engagement strategy into operational plan to positively impact recruitment and retention rates

  • Proactively seek lessons learned and proof points to support new business

  • Maintain knowledge of current recruitment trends, vendors, and technologies to increase productivity and recommend additional support as needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Extensive experience in a client facing strategic level role

  • Passion for patient centricity / healthcare communications / clinic trials

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Excellent financial acumen

  • Accountability for all assigned tasks and experience proactively taking ownership as issues arise

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, establish and maintain relationships with individuals inside and outside the organization

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high pressure and deadline driven environment, proactively managing competing priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to work with subject matter experts to create detailed and tailored engagement / communication strategies

  • Thorough grasp of all standard computer programs including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to work with subject matter experts to create detailed and tailored engagement / communication strategies

  • Knowledge of the drug development / clinical trials processes

  • Experience working in patient recruitment

  • Experience developing ballpark and detailed budgets and discussing these with internal and external stakeholders

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health care or other relevant discipline or educational equivalent

  • 5 yrs. of relevant and client facing industry experience (patient recruitment / communications / strategy)

  • Or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers

  • Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech

  • Regular sitting for extended periods of time

  • Some travel required
