Job Description

The Pricing & Technical Excellence Specialist, PTE role will be to assist in creating, drafting, and finalizing client budget bid grid deliverables/tools for client opportunities for proposals and awarded contracts, as well as providing technical support across all business units.

Key Accountabilities

• Overall management and accountability for the creation and analysis of client budget bid grid deliverables/tools, including coordination of all Pre-Sales/Contracts/operational feedback, preparation, and review. Ensure smooth transition of final deliverables to the Pre-Sales production & Contracts Teams.
• Responsible for delivering technical analyses and outputs from department-developed applications, analyzing, and testing technical solutions developed by the department, assisting programming efforts (where appropriate) to support business needs

Client Budget Bid grid Deliverables/Tools Development

• Work closely with ComOps production and contract management teams, the Pricing Team, and operational functions with client budget bid grid deliverables/tools development and analysis.
• Contact internal clients as needed to discuss challenges, specifications, resolutions.
• Draft budget bid grid deliverables/tools to:
  • Assure accuracy and consistency of budgets presented in client budget bid grid deliverables/tools
  • Ensure appropriate and accurate mapping to client budget specifications
• Provide quality client deliverable to strict deadlines

Other Tasks

• Develop and maintain technical analyses and outputs required by the business in support of production / contractual / pricing opportunities
• Participate in the development and testing of tools, procedures, and processes
• Lead/participate in hand over meetings and training to the pre-sales, contracts teams and nonBusOps teams, as needed
• Provide end-users with ongoing technical support and guidance related to tools and applications / systems created / used by BusOps

Skills

• Ability to lead internal meetings
• Confident to communicate with all internal staff levels to gain support to complete assigned tasks.
• Comfortable and willingness to speak in front of a group of people.
• Proven ability to negotiate with all levels of internal staff.
• Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases)
• Novice Understanding of the software/coding tools below and how to trouble shoot errors and correct them: (VBA/Visual Basic, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Web Design)
• Navigate and contribute to the development and maintenance of the internal team SharePoint site.

Desired Work Experience

• Prefer proposal/contract/finance management and/or computer programming/technical support experience
• Prefer CRO experience

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (ideally in Computer Science, Computer Information System, Life Science, Business or equivalent)

Language Skills

• Fluent in English, oral and written
