Job Details

Proclinical are recruiting an Associate Director to join a biotech organisation that has been launched and successfully funded by one of the top venture firms in the trade. This role is on a permanent basis ad is located in Boston. The client has a new platform technology for innovative, targeted and pioneering therapeutics for various indications.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle source procurement, inventory, and asset management, distributing and receiving actions for the lab.
  • To recognise and acknowledge any workflow blockages, inefficiencies, prospects for process development, and logistical or administrative matters in the lab.
  • Supervise lab safety and regulatory conformity, which involves tracking of biologics, chemicals, hazards resources, and executing PPE protocols and lab safety guidelines.
  • The ideal candidate will offer assistance for bio-waste disposal, glass wash and media planning actions.
  • Handle daily lab operations across the network.
  • Organise with facility contacts on various fronts which involves, tool maintenance/setups, new personnel lab training, Covid restrictions, etc.
  • You will monitor the lab design and build-out at the company's future headquarters.
  • Plan and handle actions for lab operations functions as the team develops.
  • The ideal candidate will organise the ordering, delivery, installation and preservation of lab equipment, which involves through service contracts, pre-emptive maintenance, calibration, etc.
  • Author and update laboratory SOPs and safety regulations.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in a biology or chemistry discipline.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in a lab management role within a biotech or pharmaceutical organisation.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
  • Capable and driven to resolve practical issues.
  • An organised individual with project management abilities, capable of tracking and handling inventory.
  • Social and presentation skills both verbally and written.
  • Ideal to have attained people management experience.
