Senior Director Cell Sciences

We are working with a global research and development organisation who are continuing to expand further. As part of that expansion they looking for a talented and experienced professional with a comprehensive background within cellular sciences to oversee the entire department including strategy, operations, budgets and logistics to lead the development and implementation of new and or expanded technical capabilities that make major impact on various research projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of cellular sciences department, including strategy, operations, budget, logistics and finance etc
• Define and execute growth strategies
• Lead the development and implementation of increased or new technical capabilities that will impact future projects
• Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders and departments, providing regular updates on the strategy
• Lead, develop and grow the team, providing direct oversight of performance and development etc
• Assume global matrix leadership responsibilities and strategic management of project teams
• Be entrepreneurial in your approach, identifying key future opportunities and balance risk against investment

Your Background:

• PhD in a relevant discipline such as Cell Biology
• Strong industry experience in pharma, biotech or CRO
• Expert knowledge in cell science such as cell line generation, culture and scale-up
• Experience contributing to delivery and/or validation of targets for preclinical development
• Management experience
