Job Details

Hobson Prior are seeking for an Analytical Development & Quality Control Manager Drug Substance to join a fantastic biotech corporation on a contract basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on finding, producing and marketing novelty solutions to help more patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will self-sufficiently assess and evolve innovative analytical practices and instrumentations.
  • Contribute to technology transfer between laboratories to the company both internally and externally.
  • Partake in ownership and development of lab instrumentation, work procedures, and processes.
  • Offer analytical contributions for product quality reviews (PQR).
  • You will be accountable for a project portfolio of up to 4 small projects that are ideally up to phase II, or at least 1-2 multifaceted or late-stage projects ideally in phase III and commercial.
  • Guide cross functional teams linked to analytical subjects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on various analytical fields.
  • The ideal candidate will analyse scientific work self-sufficiently in project connected actions.
  • Guarantee accessibility of sufficient lab resources as well as justify acquisition of new resources or tools.
  • Act as the main point of contact for third parties, for example CMOs and CROs for outlines analytical duties.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in a chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, biology or chemical engineering discipline with at least 12+ years for a BS, at least 9+ years for a MS, or at least 2+ years for a PhD of experience within a pharmaceutical organisation exhibiting past accomplishment in a managerial role.
  • GMP/regulatory needs know-how as well as an acquaintance with analytical chemistry.
  • Able to handle professionals efficiently within a matrix system.
  • Willing to travel for business needs.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Timeline development and management abilities.
  • Analytical chemistry knowledge.
  • Know-how in synthetic chemistry, drug substance processing and/or formulation development, pharmaceutical processing with comprehension of pharmaceutical sciences linked to drug substance or product development.
  • Familiarity with evolvement and performance of analytical tests for multiple drug substances and products.
