My client  is an exciting and growing biotechnology start-up, commercialising an exciting and cutting-edge discovery in drug development. Their cutting edge technology is a novel diagnostic platform, making a significant impact on Ophthalmology drug development saving time and money in clinical trials. Following the analysis of Phase II clinical research results, its is believed that the product may also be successful in identifying a number of neurodegenerative diseases including; Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.

 

To help them deliver their novel technology they are hiring an experienced Project Manager in a full-time capacity.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a range of clinical, preclinical and research studies, providing oversight and direction to internal stakeholders and cross-functional departments from start-up to close out for assigned projects across a variety of indications.

 

This is a key role within the project management team ensuring successful delivery of the company's projects, achieving targets, and delivering continuous improvement.

Qualifications and skills required for the role

  • Degree level (preferably business or life sciences) with strong academic performance or equivalent education or work experience.
  • Clinical background.
  • A working knowledge and experience of Project Management is essential for this role as are excellent client-facing skills and a desire to meet/exceed client expectations throughout all stages of the project.
  • Significant drug development or clinical trials experience Expertise in ophthalmic/neurodegenerative drug development.
  • Excellent leadership and client management experience.
  • Understanding of running clinical trial from concept study idea to publication.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal relationship building/maintenance
