Exciting new opportunity for a Head of Sales - Event Sponsorship to join market leading healthcare data provider. London/Home Based

Role: Head of Sales - Event Sponsorship

Business Area: Healthcare Insights, Publications, Education and Training

Package: Negotiable basic salary circa £85k-£90k, pension scheme, private health, excellent bonus opportunity

Location: Hybrid London/Home - with Offices in Basildon and London with travel to clients offices when required. Ideally based in the Home Counties

Exceptional leader required who has the ability to develop and drive a clear vision for exponential growth in Event Sponsorship Sales in the Healthcare sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a successful Sales Leader with extensive experience in event sponsorship sales and a solid experience in leading a sales function across several brands. Selling advertising and marketing solutions products also an advantage.

Within the business the EMEA events team deliver successful events for a variety of leading brands across their portfolio of businesses.

As the Head of Sales you will be responsible for leading and driving long term sales growth of Events and Marketing Solutions across several brands by being accountable for the sales function to deliver a high performance whilst delivering an outstanding customer experience

Some Key Responsibilities include:

Plans, authors, and implements the sales strategy for the events businesses

Identifies new markets and business opportunities 

Works closely with the event production team to co-create events

Drives sales growth across the portfolio of products 

Leads, directs, manages and develops the team to deliver a market leading sales and service commitment to our customers

Qualifications:

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferred

The holder of a clean, full driving licence

The Person/Experience:

Experience as a sales professional with validated B2B business development skills and a client-centric focus gained within the events sector

A significant track record and experience in leading a B2B events sales function

Unquestionable sales competencies, especially sales planning, consultative selling, closing, account management, new business, and other core sales skills

Effective and influential communication skills including those required for presentations and briefings for high-level partners

Able to build passion and commitment and lead by example

To be a guide on efficient use of time and energy of self and others. Develops strategies for the organisation and coordinates efforts to implement them

Experienced in implementing strategies to address organisation wide problems, considering practical concerns and the impact of each solutions 

To actively encourages others to develop and improve processes. Supports by outlining past takeaways and failures. Proactively encourages empowerment.

To develop good knowledge of sectors we operate in, namely UK healthcare, insurance, compliance, and charities

To be results driven, proactive, committed and solutions focused
