Principal Programmer

Proclinical are recruiting a Principal Programmer for a pharmaceutical establishment. This role is on a permanent basis and is located on the East Coast of the US. The client is focused on dermatology and helping in enhancing people's skin.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main statistical programming subject matter expert for Biostatistics.
• Evaluate marked case document forms and offer feedback.
• When needed by CDISC standards, you will evolve and evaluate programming plans and specifications at project and study level for SDTM and ADaM data sets, as well as assisting with documents.
• Serve as a mediator and as a delegate for the statistical programming team and contribute to intra-departmental meetings.
• To distribute all the statistical deliverables, you will collaborate with statisticians.
• Produce derived data set specifications for all allocated studies and combined summaries.
• You will offer supervision and direction to CRO for all statistical programming pertinent actions, which involves the evolvement and validation of ADaM.
• Evaluate and comprehend statistical analysis plans for all allocated studies and amalgamated summaries and offer feedback to study biostatistician(s).
• Other duties may be assigned to this role.

Skills & Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a statistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar discipline.
• At least 10+ years of experience with SAS programming within a pharmaceutical organisation. -
• Familiarity in applying SAS programming language, ideally within a pharmaceutical organisation with knowledge in SAS macros.
• CDISC standards knowledge, which involves SDTM, ADaM
• Comprehension of statistical approaches used n statistical analysis.
• Able to evaluate procedure and SAP as well as offer comments.
• Interpretation of good programming practices within a pharmaceutical organisation.
• Social and communication skills both verbally and written.
• GCP standards know-how.
