Job Details

I am partnered with a CRO offering a platform to NHS doctors wanting to transition to the pharmaceutical industry. With a range of clinical trials and therapeutic areas to work on as a Screening Physician in London, you can grow your skillset and become extremely attractive to large pharma after a year or so, or develop internally into senior positions before making the transition.

If you are a Junior Doctor, looking to make the first step into the pharmaceutical industry whether that is in Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development or Pharmacovigilance, then continue reading to find out how you can be a part of a driven team from Summer 2022...

Responsibilities:

  • Work across a range of clinical trials involving both healthy and patient volunteers
  • Screen volunteers and patients for First in Human clinical trials across a range of TA's and phases of development
  • Be a medical monitor on-site, reporting of any cardiovascular effects of drugs being trialled
  • Contribute to original research, developing a skill set that includes protocol development and data analysis and reporting
  • Present at national and international meetings, allowing you to build your research toolkit
  • Join a close-knit team, headed by the Medical Director who is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and of the Royal College of Anaesthetists
  • Contribute to publications, quality and process improvements and become involved in teaching

Benefits:

  • Flexible approach to training and development of all physicians, accounting for each doctor’s skill set and longer-term plans
  • Specific clinical training for this role in conjunction with management and leadership training is provided from the outset of your employment
  • The opportunity to register with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and complete PMST (the Principal Investigators are both registered educational supervisors and take an active role in your training), funded by the client
  • Beyond PMST there are opportunities to obtain post graduate qualifications including an MSc and a PhD in clinical pharmacology
  • Be based in central London, in a state-of-the-art facility, at a clinical site that has been synonymous with cutting edge clinical research for over 30 years
  • The facility has undergone a £5 million redevelopment ensuring the facility matches the excellence of teams

Requirements:

  • MD/MBBS/MB ChB obtained within Europe
  • GMC registered
  • FY1 & FY2 completed
  • 12 months additional experience in the NHS
  • Motivation and passion to transition into pharma
  • Ability to relocate or commute (at own expense) into London, full-time

Our Spring intake is currently full, but we are starting to take applications for those looking to start from Summer 2022...
