Job Details

Hobson Prior are currently seeking a Human Factors Engineer to join a brilliant pharmaceutical establishment on a contract basis. Our client is focused on finding innovative remedies.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will be responsible for constructing the directives for use and user interface.
  • To recognise and evaluate risk in product development, you will conduct anthropometric, biomechanical, ergonomic, and systems safety examination.
  • Offer human factors assistance during the development lifecycle which involves, user requirements recognition, development of user profiles and use scenarios, task analysis, use-related risk analysis, production of hardware and software design notions, creation of instruction for use such as creation graphical user interfaces and product graphics, user interface design and instructions for use.
  • The ideal candidate will suggest design optimisation of the emerged product.
  • You will plan and implement formative and summative user studies, document and display design suggestions to the project team either by using suppliers on an external basis or using amenities in an internal basis.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in an engineering, ergonomics, psychology, human factors, usability, user interface design, industrial design/graphic design or similar field.
  • At least 5 - 10 years of experience in implementing Human Factors Engineering/usability to medical devices development, ideally within the pharmaceutical organisation.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Comprehension and know-how on implementing Human Factors Engineering procedures to medical device development from notion production to health authority proposal.
  • Project/program management experience.
  • Familiarity with evolving apps, software and/or industrial design.
  • Acquaintance in handling user studies either conducted by suppliers or self-handled.
  • When needed by regulation, you will possess past involvement in evolving and reporting Human Factors actions for medical devices.
  • Interpretation of the risk management actions.
