At our site in Huntingdon we are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join our Environmental Fate / Metabolism department.The role will involve performing routine technical procedures and analysis of samples from Metabolism studies conducted to high scientific standards in compliance with GLP, A(SP)A and HSE regulations.
Duties include:
- Performing routine and technical and scientific procedures under minimal supervision, accurately recording data according to study plans and SOPs, and maintaining GLP, A(SP)A and HSE compliance at all times.
- Undertaking study/laboratory related activities, record keeping and checks, and carrying out general laboratory housekeeping.
- Ensuring that the Study Supervisor/Director is informed of study progress and any problems that may require his/her review or which may compromise the integrity of a study.
- Assist in the evaluation, validation and introduction of new instrumentation or techniques.
- Contribute to the preparation of results.
- Demonstrate the correct use of on-line data capture systems and office computers.
- Contributing to the Continuous Improvement in order to reduce waste and/or improve efficiency, productivity and scientific quality.
- Provide timely updates of study progress to their line manager such that accurate invoicing and revenue/forecasting can be achieved.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with peers, management, departmental project groups and other customers including QA.
