Our client is a world leading research-based pharmaceutical company renowned for pushing the boundaries of medical innovation are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to provide high quality support for the Nordics and Benelux

As a Financial Accountant for the Nordics and Benelux, you will have the responsibility for the maintenance and control of the company's book of accounts and providing accurate financial accounting information for the organisation, both internally and externally for statutory, legal and fiscal purposes.
Leadership of financial reporting for Nordic and Benelux legal entities, team, driving a best in class, effective, efficient, timely, accurate financial support service providing Value add Business Partnering to the organisation.
Value Custodian, ensuring financially compliant reporting of the organisations financial statements both internally and externally for statutory, legal and fiscal purposes.

Main purpose of the role

* An experienced accountant with a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACCA,
CIMA or ACA or equivalent.
* Formal Financial Accounting training and qualification, knowledge of statutory
accounting,
legal and tax requirements of any of the Nordic countries (preferably Sweden)
* Sufficient years of accounting experience to demonstrate proven capability at the
contribution level required.
* Fluency in English and Scandinavian languages is essential
* Excellent understanding of local GAAP and IFRS essential
* Knowledge of Tax
* High level of expertise and experience in Microsoft applications particularly excel and
financial systems.
* Strong knowledge of financial analysis, interpretation and evaluation.
* Good overview understanding of SAP structures and financial process.
* Able to communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
* Detailed understanding of the audit process and ability to manage external providers
* Understanding of pharmaceutical industry desirable
* Proactive approach to solving problems.
* Resilient and able to continually deliver in a demanding environment and manage
multiple
priorities and delivery requirements within a short timescale.
* Capable of fostering strong working relationships within a large finance team and with
cross functional team members.
* Strong communication skills both to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
* Able to work under pressure with focus and precision within challenging deadlines.
* Determined approach to driving solutions
