THE POSITION


If you have excellent experience with drug substances and a passion for leading international and cross-functional matrix teams, this is an exciting opportunity to join us!

As a Global Senior Manager within the Drug Substance Lifecycle Management team of the Global Supply Animal Health organization you will perform multi-project management to reach strategic objectives and to ensure reliable supply of APIs.

This position is limited to 2 years after the start of the contract.


Tasks & responsibilities


  • As Senior Global Drug Substance Manager you perform comprehensive drug substance product/project management and governance within Global Supply AH for assigned APIs throughout the entire product lifecycle to ensure successful industrialization, launch as well as long-term stable, cost-efficient and compliant supply.
  • You lead international and cross-functional matrix teams (e.g. Global Supply AH Drug Substance Teams, task forces).
  • In addition, you perform multi-project management for assigned APIs, in particular launch, manufacturing transfers, complex lifecycle management activities and oversight on CMC changes
  • Furthermore, you lead API related product risk assessments to identify all product and process related risks, decide and follow-up on implementation of mitigation measures.
  • One other responsibility will be to manage total product cost by proposing, deciding and actively managing cost improvement initiatives.
  • Finally, you prepare and implement strategic management decisions for assigned APIs.



Requirements


  • Master’s or diploma degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry or other natural sciences, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Economics
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in different functions within the chemical, pharmaceutical or FMCG industry. API related experience is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge about all aspects related to CMC, API/drug product manufacturing and supply (e.g. chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, Quality, Supply Chain and Risk Management, CMC regulatory requirements), combined with sound financial understanding (e.g. COGS, CCM, forecasting)
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to lead cross-functional matrix teams in international set-up
  • Excellent project management capabilities and experience
  • Strong international/intercultural communication and negotiation skills
  • Decision taking and strategic thinking skills combined with the ability to manage complexity
