Hobson Prior are working alongside a brilliant biotech establishment who have an opening on their team for A Clinical Pharmacology Scientist to join on a contract basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on providing life-changing solutions for various serious illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will be accountable for being the main scientific contact who is accountable for authoring final study documents.
  • Contribute to planning the IND and NDA papers, the reports for formal regulatory conferences such as EOP1, EOP2, as well as resources used for presentations and replies to regulatory management.
  • Guide the constant audit of study data such as PK, PD and safety, as well as assess data outputs for scientific and medical rationality and reliability.
  • You will support the planning of the clinical pharmacology factor of the project specific investigators pamphlet.
  • Accountable for the scientific features of clinical pharmacology study guideline evolvement, sanction form, eCRF and procedure alterations.
  • When needed, you will manage the assessment of clinical pharmacology data such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety, while networking with operational personnel and investigators, data management, biostatistics and any other associates.
  • The ideal candidate will attend and offer science assistance for investigator meetings and supervision workshops.
  • Participate in critical serious adverse event (SAE) reconciliation and SAE narratives as well as guide the safety audit of clinical pharmacology studies.

Requirements:

  • Educated to an advanced degree level in a pharmaceutical science, clinical pharmacology science or similar discipline.
  • At least 2+ years of experience within a pharma industry assisting with clinical pharmacology studies, NCA data evaluation, regulatory archiving and medical authoring.
  • Experience with clinical research, ideally in a pharmaceutical organisation with know-how of ICH GCP and the drug development procedure.
  • Familiarity with numerous strategies to PK and PD data analysis such as compartmental, curve-sitting, non-compartmental, etc.
  • Knowledge of software such as Phoenix, WinNonlin, as well as Microsoft, google suites and possibly Spotfire.
  • Acquaintance with operating on and ideally guiding a team matrixed around the scientific and/or clinical study-related responsibilities.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Capable of processing information, assess data, and reach verdicts based on disputing and the validation based on the rick-benefit evaluation and cost-effectiveness.
  • Able to represent function on team(s).
  • Reply to general guideline queries and process matters.
