Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Maintenance Control Technician to join a brilliant pharmaceutical establishment on a permanent basis. Our client is focused on manufacturing life-changing treatments in various therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this role, you will be responsible for offering technical hardware, software and coding support to guarantee systems and equipment are upheld to meet performance necessities.
  • Support equipment breakdowns and root cause analysis investigations.
  • Support the Engineering Maintenance functions to warrant that all systems are maintained to meet the related operational risks in the areas of GMP Compliance, Business and EHS.
  • You will support Computer Systems Validation for site Computerised Systems (Commissioning, Qualification, Operation).
  • Support the appraisal of maintenance plans.
  • Accountable for supporting the unremitting improvement of the Computerised System Life Cycle.
  • Guarantee all activities and documentation is fully compliant with cGMP and maintained in an inspection-ready condition.
  • This ideal candidate will own quality actions for failed / out of specification maintenance tasks.
  • You will carry out planned, corrective and breakdown maintenance.
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the operations and engineering team and become fully integrated to allow a strong level of trust and customer service.
  • As a Maintenance Control Technician, you will be responsible for proactively look for dependability / development opportunities and guarantee their accomplishment.
  • Any other assigned duties.

  • Exceptional technical, analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Have people and team skills permitting operative influence and concern for impact across multidiscipline teams associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • It is desirable for a HNC in automation or associated Engineering subject and yearning to enrol on bachelor's degree in connected engineering topic.
  • At least a HNC in automation or similar Engineering subject.
  • At least 5+ years of experience is essential in configuring and upholding programmable electronic systems used for process control.
  • At least 2+ years of experience is needed in configuring and maintaining programmable electronic systems used for process control, ideally within a cGMP regulated setting (GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR11, EU ANNEX 11).
  • Prior experience with Siemens PLC/HMI and SCADA configuration and maintenance is crucial.
  • Familiar with regulatory expectations together with the latest developments and automation matters within the global pharmaceutical industry (GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR11, EU ANNEX 11).
  • Previous experience and involvement with successful Pre-Approval Inspection or corresponding regulatory audit involving Programmable Electronic Systems is desirable, but not essential to the role.
  • Aware of regulatory expectations together with the latest developments and automation matters within the global pharmaceutical industry (GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR11, EU ANNEX 11).
  • Capable in Siemens S7 software and applications.
  • Competent in the programming, maintenance, specification and validation of automation systems.
