Registered Nurse / Nurse Adviser - enteral feed pump education, Northern Ireland

We have a position available for a registered nurse to join our team, as part of an educational support program for patients and healthcare professionals in Northern Ireland.

There is no weekend work or antisocial shifts, however we are looking for someone who is happy to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays on an occasional / ad hoc basis (i.e. to cover for holidays and sick leave) in the absence of the regular job holder.

Providing guidance on how to set up and correctly use an enteral feed pump, most of your day will be spent visiting patients in their homes (or in hospital prior to discharge), training school staff, carers, and healthcare professionals; you will also offer a telephone support service (~30% of working time).

Whilst no specialist skills are needed as the role does not involve any clinical intervention, excellent interpersonal abilities are vital as you will need to explain the process clearly, in a way that suits your audience, both in person and over the telephone. Prior experience with enteral feeds and pumps would be advantageous but is not essential.

A generous hourly rate is on offer + mileage expenses at the prevailing HMRC rate + parking + any required training time paid for.

We are specifically seeking candidates who possess the following skills & experience:

• Must be RGN qualified with current NMC registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Already based in Northern Ireland
• Must have a full UK driving license and own reliable transport.
