Quality Control Specialist (Medical Writing)

Job Summary:

Experienced Quality Control Specialist required to support our growing medical writing company in producing high-quality clinical and regulatory documents.

Requirements:

Scinopsis (www.scinopsis.com) is a leading European medical writing company specialised in providing clinical/regulatory documentation and medical communications for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Well‑respected and highly successful, Scinopsis has grown steadily since its creation in 2006.

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Specialist to perform quality control of clinical and regulatory documents, primarily in Microsoft Word (e.g. clinical study reports/protocols, CTD modules).

This role can be based at our office in Brighton or be fully home-based in the UK. We also have flexible working options with regards to hours and would consider a part-time position. We are a very friendly team, and staff happiness and work-life balance are a priority for us.

Responsibilities:

• Checking correct use of spelling, grammar and punctuation
• Checking accuracy of data in text and tables versus source documents
• Checking all aspects of document formatting versus document style guides/templates
• Checking consistency of content and formatting within and between documents
• Checking consistency of conclusions and claims versus source data
• Checking for consistent use of terminology, abbreviations and citations
• Checking functionality and consistency of presentation in PDF documents
• Communicating with document authors and clients during the quality control process

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience performing quality control of clinical/regulatory documents
• Excellent written English
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Highly methodical working style
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Good communication skills, flexible and friendly attitude
• Ability to support several different projects simultaneously and to meet tight deadlines
• Legally entitled to work in the UK
