Translational and Innovation Lead - Gastroenterology

I am exclusively collaborating with a top-5 global pharmaceutical company who are looking to expand their Gastroenterology team with a passionate scientist who has expertise in Gastroenterology.

This strategic role contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care, and the success of the affiliate by supporting the development and subsequent implementation of the medical/non-promotional plan with high standards of ethics, compliance and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Therapeutic Area Team at the International Multidisciplinary Core Teams and take translational responsibility for the assigned projects.
• Work in close collaboration with the clinical scientists in the GI Therapy area.
• Identify and lead new projects, identify key clinical probability of technical success in gastroenterology indications
• Identify and lead new projects and pilots in GI aimed to address key unmet needs in the medical and scientific field
• Closely collaborate with all early and late development teams across the company to execute pilot programmes with cutting edge technology
• Liaise with KOL and thought leaders in the GI space across the world

Background:

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
• Significant Clinical Research experience in Gastroenterology  
• A proven leader with extensive experience in either industry or academia with expertise in drug discovery/translational science
• Fluent in English with very good communication and presentation competencies
• A true entrepreneur mindset  
• Ability to identify and secure new and exciting scientific pilots
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
