Healthcare Development Lead - Ophthalmology - UK
Our client is Japanese pharmaceutical company, specializing in ophthalmology. They are one of the leading ophthalmic companies worldwide, with its products being sold in over 50 countries.
Due to the rapid expansion of the Ophthalmology team, they are now seeking a talented Healthcare Development Lead for their UK operation. In this national role, you will achieve Payer marketing/business objectives for prioritised brands by meeting access and implementation targets by working with the NHS to deliver patient centred healthcare solutions to meet the needs of their customers in improving patient outcomes.
As such you will serve as the primary point of contact for Payer Accounts, in particular, pharmacy, medicines management, non-clinical commissioners, service leads and NHS business managers.
A key measure of your success will be the delivery of patient centred healthcare solutions that impact upon patient pathways.
Candidate requirements:
- Can display deep understanding of NHS performance metrics, NHS datasets, funding flows, NHS systems and national policies that influence customer decision-makers.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize accounts, segment payers and systematically plan and capture interactions with payer customers
- Demonstrate collaborative negotiation skills
- Strong analytical, communication and business planning skills
- Display knowledge of pharmacoeconomic principles and the application of health economic tools
- Working collaboratively with the local Key Account team in a matrix environment to achieve the business objectives for prioritised brands
- Strategic thinker who is able to understand NHS policy and translate into an opportunity
