Account Director - Medical Communications

We are passionate about partnering with healthcare communication agencies that offer something extra to their employees and clients. these agencies’ expertise includes medical communications, public relations, clinical trials services, and market access communications/consultancy for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, animal health, and functional food companies.

Due to ambitious growth plans and the professional development of the team, we are looking to hire a number of experienced Account Directors to join the Client Services team.

Given the collaborative multi-office approach, you could be based in either one of our offices or be 100% home-based. WE are also open to part-time working patterns.

One client of ours is transforming the way that healthcare companies communicate with their audiences online. They do this through cutting-edge digital strategy, data-driven campaign development, audience-centric content strategy, and refreshing UX-based design. They believe Medical Communications is changing, with the strategic focus shifting to a digital-first approach. For this reason, the delivery of consistent and relevant online content is a key part of any communications campaign.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes:

Essential

• At least 1 year of experience working in a MedComms agency as an Account Director, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in MedComms
• Experience in managing digital promotional and medical education campaigns
• Experience in the development of brand, comms, and digital strategies
• Experience in leading accounts of prescription medicines
• Experience in leading teams of 2 to 4 people
• Team player who can lead successful teams, by motivating and inspiring colleagues
• A problem solving and can-do attitude
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail

Desirable

• Life science degree (BSc or MSc)
• Experience in leading accounts in the therapeutic areas of oncology or psychiatry
• Ability to pick up new accounts with little support, until a new team is established
• Experience in leading projects for digital assets, such as websites, apps, animations, and other videos.
• Experience in working in a fast-paced, agile environment, and managing its own team’s work load independently
• Experience in the development of brand, comms, and digital strategies
• Experience using Adobe Suite (e.g. Adobe Xd)
