Exciting opportunity to work for our International pharmaceutical client, who is looking for an experienced Learning and Development Manager, where you will be responsible for the implementation of the EMEA strategy for all non-commercial development and providing relevant learning solutions where applicable.
You will collaborate with the strategic lead for the LMS, taking the role as operational SME and point of contact for the EMEA LMS administrators to drive usage across EMEA and to lead, develop and manage the R&D Learning and Development provision.


Main duties and responsibilities:

* Act as a central contact for all training and development needs for R&D employees
* Collate all identified development needs for R&D employees via Development Plans from employees and plan subsequent development accordingly throughout the financial year
* Operational management of R&D bespoke training events, including design and delivery of workshops for existing staff
* Work with the R&D Senior Leadership Team to review, identify and develop effective solutions
* Collaborate and work with HR, facilitators, course owners and curriculum owners to ensure that EMEA training programs and initiatives are effectively launched
* Articulate the vision and strategies; identifying innovative opportunities to create value
* Be proactive in dealing with development requirements, seeking information from other areas of the business, suggesting specific learning options where appropriate
* Manage the creation of reports and metrics to provide KPIs on learner's development and at on feedback where necessary to ensure a continuous improvement and a high-quality service offering to stakeholders
* Evaluate development requests and provide analysis on development and learning options identified to provide a range of appropriate blended learning tools in support of employee development plans aligned with business objectives
* Provide direction to maintain appropriate standards with the LMS supplier and oversee maintenance and continuous development of the system
* Drive change management and communication efforts regarding LMS initiatives and updates and ensure content stakeholders have incorporated proper change management processes
* Manage L&D budget tracking for relevant areas
* Represent L&D for EMEA based projects and initiatives requiring L&D input as required


Skills & Experience required:

* Proven track record of delivering high quality training related work with tangible outcomes
* Experience in developing and managing external training partner(s) and activities
* Ability to function in and influence key stakeholders in matrix organisation
* Proven experience in developing and implementing systems administration processes and training
* Educated to A level standard - degree preferred in either Science or Business
* Excellent project management and team working skills
* Good operational lead
* Knowledge of learning and development skills such as instructional design, content development, eLearning design and virtual instruction
