Hobson Prior have an exciting role for a QA Specialist on a contract basis where you will be working remotely. If you're interested, please get in touch now!

Key Responsibilities:

  • To liaise with laboratories and UKHSA relationship Managers to support them in the completion of the Audit Checklist - a desktop review that aligns to iso 15189 standards.
  • To provide advice on training, competency assessment, risk assessment.
  • To provide advice on compliance with iso 15189 or 17025 standards (please note this is not in lieu of advice from UKAS).
  • To objectively review evidence submitted as part of the Audit checklist and feedback to the laboratories and to UKHSA on recommendations through written reports or virtual meetings .
  • To review incidents with Quality Managers, provide advice and ensure appropriate corrective actions have been implemented and that ongoing problems are resolved.
  • Analyse and report on quality data submitted by the laboratories.
  • Keep abreast of the overall programme of work through attendance at the daily SitRep.
  • Actively participate and contribute to Quality Leads meetings, Expert User Groups, programme boards, sitreps and team meetings as required.
  • Provide quality advice to other members of the team as required.
  • Visit Laboratories to undertake audits as required.
  • Respond to requests for information on Lab validation and assurance from UKHSA.
  • Other duties as relevant to the role.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Be able to work on their own as well as part of team.
  • Be a good communicator, both written and verbal.

Requirements:

  • Experience of assessing operational readiness of laboratories that is aligned to ISO 152189/17025 standards.
  • Experience of stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (MHRA, CE IVD, UKAS ISO 15189/17205 standards).
