Job Details

Purpose:

This role sits within the Strategic Pricing and Partnerships Team within the R&D Solutions Global Business Unit and is focused on working with customer teams and IQVIA Business Units on internal strategic and specific customer-driven opportunities that drive business growth. The Director collaborates with customers and internal stakeholders to create and implement pricing/delivery strategies and tools to support sales, revenue, and profit growth. Operating in this position will involve understanding customer needs and IQVIA capabilities as well as business and negotiation principles combined with an ability to work with diverse teams of people from across the organization to architect commercial solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the CRO industry as well as strong finance, presentation, and communication skills (including a high degree of comfort presenting and speaking in customer settings) and a high degree of creativity.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Provides integrated pricing support and vision across functions and delivery units in support of customers and IQVIA business units

• Works with internal cross-functional teams to translate operational strategies into cost-competitive solutions that align with external customer needs

• Works with internal and external customers to create and implement traditional and non-traditional pricing/delivery alternatives, tactics, and methodologies to meet customer needs

• Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of our pricing tools

• Contributes to discussions on business pricing/delivery strategy and direction and ensures a consistent application of our strategies across all opportunities

• Negotiates financial and business terms for contracts involving traditional and non-traditional pricing models

• Participates in customer presentations and bid defense activities to articulate and demonstrate the value of IQVIA solutions

• Fully supports the management team to ensure all team goals and objectives are met

• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of pricing, finance, operations, contract negotiations, and CRO industry

• Strong critical thinking and analysis/integration skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to be assertive

• Able to work effectively in teams in a fast-paced, high growth environment

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities

• Ability to design and implement pricing, delivery, and budgeting strategies to drive growth for a large global organization

• Excel and financial analysis skills sufficient to support analysis and development of delivery strategies and budgets, pricing methodologies and systems

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, management, and customers

Required Education and Experience:

• Degree in Business, Life Sciences, or other directly related area

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in Business Management, Contracts Management, Consulting, Finance and/or CRO industry, with up to 7 years direct pricing experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
