Job Details

Labcorp Drug Development is excited to launch the 2022 Graduate Scheme for Biostatistics and Statistical Programming in the United Kingdom. With over 70,000 employees, Labcorp is a global life sciences company that brings diagnostic testing and drug development together and this graduate scheme is an opportunity to join the Drug Development division of Labcorp to start a career as a Biostatistician or Statistical Programmer in clinical research.

Starting in October 2022, the graduate scheme will combine comprehensive SAS programming tuition from our partner Amadeus Software, a market leader in this field, with tailored internal training on the drug development process with a key focus on the analysis and reporting of clinical trials.

Biostatistics or Statistical Programming?

At Labcorp Drug Development the Biostatistics and Statistical Programming groups work very closely together and the core fundamentals of both graduate schemes will be the same. Looking further ahead, as a Biostatistician you would be responsible for determining the analysis to be performed on a clinical study, the application of complex statistical analysis, and the overall quality control of deliverables from the combined department. The Statistical Programming role is more focused on application. Starting with the standardisation of the data, the Statistical Programmer derives any endpoints that are required and applies the analysis as defined for the study.

Location
Labcorp Drug Development utilises a hybrid approach to working, combining office and homebased working to best fit the needs of the individual and the company. There is an expectation that the graduates will be primarily office based, allowing the intake to bond and thrive with expert support always on hand.

With this in mind, the scheme will be available in Maidenhead, Berkshire and our brand new office facilities in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Both locations are well established Labcorp Drug Development sites.
