At Labcorp Drug Development in Harrogate, North Yorkshire we are looking to recruit an Equipment Administratorto join our expanding CMC (Chemistry Manufacturing Controls) team.

Please note, this role will also cover our site in York and so some travel between the two sites will be involved.

Job responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring and overseeing analytical equipment within the BiopharmCMC chemistry department
  • Serve as the expert and main point of contact for equipment & process, with a focus on complex analytical instrumentation (full training will be given)
  • Arrange for installation and set-up of new analytical equipment
  • Complete GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) quality records and all equipment documentation
  • Arrange equipment purchases for the GMP or operations team, gathering quotes & contracts from appropriate service providers and executing PO submissions
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and internal operations to support & schedule instrument maintenance, ensuring vendors meet GMP compliance requirements & minimise instrument downtime
  • Engage in improvement initiatives & continuous process improvements projects
  • Assist Global Business Technologies and other areas of Global Laboratory Systems to assist in computer system validation

Education/Qualifications:
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Experience:
  • A desire to work within a scientific and regulated environment
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Project)
  • An understanding of health and safety policies, company policies and procedures, a working knowledge of ISO (accreditation and application) and an understanding of GMP/GLP/GCP regulations
  • The post holder should be able to communicate effectively at all levels, with other Labcorp employees, as well as external clients, suppliers, etc.
