Job Details

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Supports the development and implementation of a multi-year plan to deploy the EHS Information system and future system expansions as determined by the EHSLT.
  • Directs activities of the local implementation managers to ensure execution of the multi-year plan in cooperation with the local EHS teams.
  • Acts as a liaison between the EHS and Global IT functions to ensure alignment and successful execution of the EHS IMS strategy. In collaboration with Global IT, manages relationships and budgets with external consultants and key vendors related to EHS IMS needs.
  • Develop criteria for local and global management review, reporting issues and status to the relevant stakeholders, project team and the project steering committee
  • Development and implementation of the EHS Electronic Management system software program, including but not limited to; Global administration, process maintenance and improvement, resource modeling, change control & IT governance and education of employees across the business.
  • Analyze, summarize and communicate potential significant impacts to our businesses with regard to the deployment. Continuously review system deployment plan and new capability requests and update plan in coordination with the project team to meet business needs. Identify, manage and assist in the resolution of system-related issues. Track and monitor resource utilization.
  • Responsible for determining and providing corporate sustainability metrics. Collect, validate, and report EHS metrics and performance versus goals, as directed; analyze metrics to find opportunities for improvement amid the key elements to successful EHS management such as regulatory compliance, risk assessment, communication, self-audit, and senior leadership engagement. Monitor EHS performance, injury and illness data, environmental incidents, inspections, environmental monitoring results.
  • Attend steering, project planning and IT core team meetings to represent EHS business interests
  • Maintain, improve and align EHS digital information and communication platforms. Managing internal and external digital platforms (EHS lead for E2E information initiatives, iNet, BI, CSLNow and Teams content)


Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred and/or an MBA with at least 7 years of EHS or related experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical environment.


Experience:
  • Well versed in EHS management systems such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
  • Demonstrated experience with global application deployment projects
  • Demonstrated experience with the management of global information management systems
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience with the implementation and sustainment of a EHS Electronic Management System on a global scale.
  • Experience with data analytics and/or operational excellence and continuous improvement practices preferred
  • Thinks beyond and incorporates external factors into business strategy
  • Collaborates and influences broadly across multiple sites and levels.
  • Excels at the development of clear, concise, and effective policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel to sites and provide hands on assistance to address deficiencies, share practices and rapidly implement global systems.
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to align people and resources towards organizational success
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions in a changing environment and experience in a global Matrix organization
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication are essential in this collaborative work environment
  • Business Acumen: Knows how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practice, trends and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the competition; is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace.
