Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will participate in design activities, reviews and report on design progress. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring appreciable initiative, originality, ingenuity and excellent problem solving skills.

Responsibilities 

• Understand electro-mechanical devices – their construction, requirements & standards that are adhered to.
• Able to resolve complex design issues based on metrology’ able to identify new measurement technologies for metrology.
• Has fundamental expertise in tool design and development and DFM principles
• Establishes alternate use possibilities and incorporates flexibility; balances system costs with benefits provided; develops expertise in one or more processes, oversees design work of internal and external consultants
• Analyzes complex interdisciplinary problems and identifies their impact; establishes probabilities; draws conclusions reflecting broad business needs; understands organizational and financial impact of recommendations

Requirements

• Ideally Solidworks CAD experience.
• A Bachelors Degree in Engineering plus demonstrated competence
• 8+ years of significant engineering experience.
