Clinical Data Management Lead

The Associate Director, CDM will provide leadership and guidance when ensuring the data is collected, managed, and reported clearly, accurately, and securely.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategize and participate in the further development of departmental processes and procedures;
• Serve as a program data management lead on multiple complex clinical trials;
• Lead and coordinate departmental initiatives related to improvements and integration of new technology;
• Manage and supervise at least one Data Manager;
• Communicate critical issues confronting projects and the action plans put in place to address those critical issues to senior management; and
• Provide logical solutions to any escalated Data Management issues that arise during the course of any trial within the respective team.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience
• Hands on from DB design to close out (very hands on for the first year while learning the ropes of DM roles, and then more program lead as they transition off of study lead and into program lead role)
• Client/Sponsor facing (main point of contact and point of escalation)
• Experience with direct reports and mentoring CDM (will start off with 1 direct report) - FLEX if they have strong mentoring/training experience and a desire to have direct reports
• For the first year, 80% technical / Sponsor management, 20% people management, but as it progresses past first year, 50/50 and then perhaps 25/75
• Phases 1-4
• Leading: 4-6 studies (support from CDC)
• EDC: Rave and Clintrak (not deal breaker)
